Dunshaughlin were comfortable winners over St. Ultans Cortown Gaels in the U19 Division 4 FC final at Dunganny

Dunshaughlin 4-18 St. Ultan's/Cortown Gaels 0-13

The future of Dunshaughlin football is undeniably bright after a commanding performance against St. Ultan's Cortown Gaels in the Division 4 final.

It all began with a simple opening score from Ciaran Sheridan, quickly followed by a point from Matthew Gallagher, the first signs of what was to come. From there, Dunshaughlin burst into life, playing with confidence, pace, and clinical accuracy. By full time, the black and amber had clocked an incredible 4-18, a tally built on hard running, smart movement, and  relentless pressure.

One of the standout moments came when Sean Clancy, after being fouled, tapped and went straight through the heart of the defence before blasting the ball to the net. Odhran Byrne was electric from start to finish, finishing with a superb 1-5.

Ciaran Sheridan added three from play and three from placed balls, showing real leadership in attack.

Jeff Foley, the ever-classy number 13, chipped in with 1-3, making his presence felt throughout.

Matthew Gallagher, who has been outstanding all year, contributed 1-2, while Minor Division 2 winner Adam Glennon slotted over a fine score of his own. And in the final stages, Patrick Kealy lived up to his name, showing real expertise with a beautiful point to round off the Dunshaughlin tally.

To their credit, St. Ultan's Cortown Gaels gave everything. A strong purple patch after halftime cut the deficit to six, showing real spirit and determination. But  Dunshaughlin's dominance, depth, and composure proved too much for the young  side to break down.

A brilliant performance, a brilliant result and a brilliant sign of what's to come for Dunshaughlin.

After the game Mairead Delaney and sponsor John Brogan presented the cup to Dunshaughliun captain Aidan Thorp.
