Kilmainhamwood celebrate 25th Anniversary of '96 win

The Kilmainhamwood squad that won the 1996 Meath SFC

Kilmainhamwood  are hosting a celebration night in Cabra Castle on Friday 26th November to honour the 1996 Keegan Cup winning squad.

Captained by Brian Stafford the ‘Wood’ claimed their one and only Meath SFC title at the expense of Seneschalstown. 

The Yellow Furze men had beaten Kilmainhamwood in the opening round 3-12 to 2-7 but lined out in the final without the suspended Colm Coyle and Graham Geraghty. The ‘Wood’ led 0-7 to 0-1 at the break and a goal from All Star Stafford just after the break set them on the road to a 2-12 to 1-6 victory.

Dinner is served at 7pm.
