But we need some of the other experienced heads back to be seriously competitive, mcdaid , walsh, thompson. I dare not mention comer but i just have to. ...he is too good to completely discount even if its a 1% chance." Galway have the best batch of forwards in Ireland. In pure talent stakes, theyre up there with the forwards of Dublin in last decade.
Walsh, Comer, Thompson, Finnerty and McDaid would walk into nearly every team in the country.
The simple fact is youve been unlucky with injuries but also you seem to rely on moments of individual brilliance rather than a game and process suited to an overall system which lets each of these guys florish together. (easier said than done so I don't know if I'd be throwing PJ out without a better option. Looking at what Andy Moran has done in a short window with Monaghan shows what the right addition to backroom team could achieve. )
Ps your biggest challenge is sorting out GK. Thought years ago Tadhg O Malley was the closest Galway had to a modern keeper but PJ didn't take to him."
