Sean Cavanagh has described the GAA's lack of intervention on the All-Ireland club SFC final 16th man controversy as 'crazy'.

As the row drags into a second week with Kilmacud Crokes having lodged a counter-objection to Glen's objection against a breach of Rule 6.44, the Tyrone legend has accused the GAA  top brass of shirking their responsibility.

"This is crazy," he said on RTÉ2's Allianz League Sunday of Crokes having an extra man on the field defending a '45 in the closing stages.

"It's a rules breach. It's down to the GAA to fix this. The GAA must fix this.

"How they have sat back and put this back on amateur clubs... It was a great final and it has almost taken the taste of it."
