Midleton progressed to a third consecutive Cork Premier senior hurling championship semi-finals thanks to a comeback victory over Glen Rovers last night (Friday).
It finished 2-19 to 2-17 at Pairc Ui Rinn, where Conor Lehane starred for the winners after they’d gone seven points behind early in the second-half.
A brace of Patrick Horgan goals (one from a free) saw the Glen leading by 2-10 to 1-8 at half-time and further points by Micheál Mullins and Cork's all-time topscorer Horgan after the change of ends extended their advantage.
Another GOAL for @GlenRovers_ and who else 🤷♂️

Cormac Beausang’s goal brought Midleton right back into it however, and the points of Lehane and Luke O’Farrell kept the heat on their opponents before substitute O’Farrell eventually shot the Magpies in front with a superb point.
Rebels star Lehane completed his 0-10 to move Midleton up by two late on, but there’d still be a late chance for Horgan, who finished with 2-9, to net another free for what would've been the winner but it didn’t materialise and Micheál Keohane’s men progressed.
TweetKillian McDermott and Cormac Beausang are on the same wavelength here 🧠
