It was another huge day in the novel 2021 national football and hurling leagues.
The Division One football semi-finals pitred Dublin against Donegal and Kerry against Tyrone, while Division Two survival was on the line when Cork entertained Westmeath and Down hosted Laois. The losers of those two matches will be replaced in the second flight by the winners of the Division Three semi-finals (Derry V Limerick and Offaly V Fermanagh).
Meanwhile, Cavan and Wicklow clashed in a Division Three relegation play-off and Carlow welcomed Louth to Dr Cullen Park for a massive Division Four semi-final - the winners of which have been promoted.
In hurling, with Kilkenny already having claimed top spot and Laois guaranteed to finish bottom, the fifth and final round of Division One Group B took place. The Cats were on the road to face Clare and the O'Moore men travelled to Belfast to lock horns with Antrim while Wexford had home advantage against Dublin.
In Division 2B of the hurling league, Derry took on Roscommon while Mayo and Kildare collided in a straight shoot-out for the 2B title. Finally, there were also two games in Division 3A - Longford V Monaghan and Tyrone V Sligo.
