Meath V Dublin - 18 Like(s)

Replying To Saynothing:  "Poster on here having digs at someone about bringing family into posts. Just to clear up my post, go to NFL Div2 dated 13th June, page9, regarding someone seeing end of Kildare v Meath match. I think it's explains all. Now if my post mentions family tell me where."
This is it here, http://www.hoganstand.com/Forum/Details/110459?County=National&PageNumber=8&TopicID=110459 The only mention of family on the thread was by RD himself, your comment was you thought he was talking bs saying he didn't see the 2nd half etc. many's the time you wouldn't feel like watching the end of a match if your teams playing rubbish and going to get beat, natural enough I suppose. some of us ejits sit and suffer till the bitter end though. I see from the 19 thumbs up your comment got that up many on here agreed with you and I don't see anything wrong in what you said. Yourself and RD have been having a back and forth but it was mostly about Tyrone Meath stuff and the 6 counties etc. As you said if the missed the second half ok just say that, who cares anyway, but when RD mentions his own son in the thread and then complains about people mentioning his family?? sounds like a load of bs to me anyway.

Armagh Vs Galway - 16 Like(s)
That's typical Armagh at the final whistle, glad it's on the RTE at Croke Park where the whole country can see what they are really like. Disgraceful stuff, hang your heads in shame Armagh, how many game this year have they dragged into the gutter?

The GAA And "Northern Ireland" - 12 Like(s)
Northern Ireland is County Donegal, most northerly part of Ireland is Malin head, so are we the north of Ireland or Northern Ireland? The six counties are occupied still by a foreign power and held by the threat and use of force, The six county statelet was gerrymandered when it was created to give the unionists a permanent majority, that's going now because the catholics are out breeding them, if they had included Donegal from day one they could have called it Northern Ireland, but they wouldn't have had their apartheid wee orange state then were catholics were second class. The times they are a changing, border is the the Irish sea, thank God we are surrounded by water.

Was Joey Barton Correct When He Said Woman Should Not Discuss Mens Sport - 10 Like(s)
Joey Barton was spot on in my opinion, of course he'll likely be cancelled now and probably be flogged in public as well. Most women I know have no interest in football, they have even less interest in women's football. If you have kids or family members playing ladies football then ok they'll be involved when it's their own family playing, apart from that no, they have women presenters and pundits on just to satisfy the woke crowd.

Replying To ConnollyDub:  "''Most counties only care about Meath'' You have just hit a new level of delusion royaldunne...which i didn't think was possible"
This thread is actually very funny and getting more so, hardly a mention of Dublin at all, think they are even afraid to mention Dublin because they know the pain is coming.

GAA on TV - 8 Like(s)

Replying To GreenandRed:  "Dualsport. For me a snowflake isn't left or right or centre or whatever you're having. It's someone who goes out of their way to be offended and root out what they see as the offensive terms in an argument and completely ignore someone elses point of view. At least if someone is left or right they have a stance on something and might even be admired even if you strongly disagree with their beliefs and opinions. Snowflake is a bit unfair to someone who could have mental issues maybe, though was there as much mental stress before social media? There are those people who believe that posting Black Lives matter or Save Paris banners on Facebook after a terrorist attack will change extreme views and actions, it won't. That's as much activism as they'll be involved in and they'll take offence if you suggest that all lives matter. They're best ignored. I've no time for organised religion and every religion has genuinely devout well meaning respectful people and a minority of wrongdoers who give them a bad name. The media will skew people's opinions by sensationalising the bad stuff. I think in Ireland a leftie, or bearded leftie as they were sometimes known, is a socialist who genuinely works for better rights and conditions for the working class. Not many of them in RTE. A bunch of public servants living on taxpayers money and offering very little new or creative."
Spot on, the thing I don't like about RTE is they are part of and used by the establishment to push their agenda, notice how they have made Labour and Alan Kelly the leader of the opposition with his 7 TD's!!, they treat Sinn Fein and anything to do with the north of Ireland as dirt on their shoes, as for us up here in the far northwest we might as well not exist, we get better news coverage from BBC NI.

Anti GAA Agenda - 8 Like(s)

Replying To ForeverBlue2:  "The presenter hasn't a breeze about anything…. No danger of him been poached from RTE…"
A good breeze would blow Tubridy away and he would hardly be missed to be fair, RTE are anti GAA, anti Irish and anti Ulster too, don't know why we are forced by law to subsidise them when they get advertising revenue as well, absolute joke and it's on us. If they shut down tomorrow they wouldn't be missed, I'd rather watch TG4.

Mayo V Tyrone All-Ireland Football Final - 8 Like(s)
McQuillan will do Tyrone no favours that's for sure, everybody bar Tyrone supporters and the very few like myself in other counties want to see Tyrone beaten here, they want the wee teachers pets from Mayo to finally get over the line and not bottle another final, Tyrone will have to win this the hard way, can see McQuillan doing all he can to help Mayo. Hoping to see Tyrone romp home by 6 or 7 points please God.

Bloody Sunday - 7 Like(s)
Any man who doesn't want Ireland reunited isn't much of an Irishman in my opinion, Brexit has moved that day closer and I hope there is a border poll within the next 5 to 10 years. Just look at the Covid pandemic as an example, it could be handled so much better with an all Ireland approach, a partitioned Ireland makes no sense and never did, it was a cop out at the time and was never meant to last.

2021 Schedule - 7 Like(s)

Replying To Saynothing:  "Why didn't you say that in your first post post instead of blaming the North of Ireland. Americans kept flying into Dublin and traveling all over Ireland from the time this virus began."
There's something approaching 7 million people living in the 32 counties, why are we still allowing 1 million unionists to keep this country partitioned so they can live in their gerrymandered little failed statelet and pretend they are british and democrats, It's long past time we had this border poll, Brexit and Covid makes the need for unity essential if it wasn't obvious already. There needs to be an All ireland approach to controlling Covid 19 and this may not be last pandemic we see, if it was an animal disease the All Ireland approach would have there from the start. It's time politicians started leading instead of clowning about like headless chickens.

Dublins Demise - 6 Like(s)

Replying To tirawleybaron:  "4 losses on the bounce in league and championship. Talking about having to rebuild but had more 2021 championship starters out last night than their opponents. Kicking wides to beat the band and coughing up goals at a rate not seem for 10 years. Manager says they are learning- evidence is that they aren't. They should have been able to win last night, but the reason they can't win isn't down to player's ability. For me it's poor tactics and a collapse of their famed high standards. The players have gone back to their standards of 15 years ago."
Mayo don't need to have a demise as they never reached the top. maybe you'd be better concentrating on that. That Dublin team were the GOAT and Dublin will be back, just going through a lull, when they get their ass in gear later on they'll be match for anyone.

Andy Moran retires - 6 Like(s)
I suppose when you look at it Andy Moran retiring this week has taken the spotlight off the Dubs going for 5 in a row, RTE might cancel Up for the Match on Saturday night to do a prime time special on Andy Moran, the Roscommon man who nearly won an All Ireland with Mayo, fascinating stuff.
