Derry v Armagh - 2023 Ulster SFC Final - 4 Like(s)

Replying To Joxer:  "Dreadful quality, colour clash, keeper wearing all black just like the referee. Bit of a shambles for a provisional final."
Munster final = Boring, Connacht final = boring , Leinster final = boring. Ulster final = extra time and can't pick a winner.

Galway have to win this final. Armagh number 7 Forker three times ran 20 yards to snarl at a Kerry player on the ground. So Galway look out for him.

Cluxton Back! - 3 Like(s)

Replying To jimbodub:  "I see Pat Spillane has labelled Cluxtons return "a joke" Interesting that the most negative and ill thought mutterings are coming from a Mayo man and a Kerry man in a very open manner in the national media Hmmm.. wonder why?"
We all thought Cluxton was the kind of man who didn't like the limelight, how things have changed. Pat is right, if Derry or any other team brought back a man of 41 they'd be laughed at.

Replying To Jazzyjeff:  "A massive and impressive win this evening against a Meath team that were very poor despite the pre-match build up. In the end it was an easy win but also one which has laid a marker. We have to get promoted from this position now one would imagine. Kildare in Newbridge next then Dublin at Celtic Park. If Ethan Doherty and Niall Toner can continue supplementing Shane McGuigan's scores like they have in the last few games we could have a huge season. Also must be said that Eoin McEvoy has been excellent and his emergence has allowed Brendan Rogers to move to midfield where he has been very good. Paudie Cassidy offers good cover and is a man who can fill plenty of positions. A really important guy to keep fit."
Impressive? Meath ladies would have put up a better show. Don't get carried away just yet.

All Ireland Football Final 2024 - Galway V Armagh - 2 Like(s)

Replying To katser:  "Comer, Walsh,Tierney,McDaid,Finnerty if all five catch fire they would do some damage to Armagh......they could all easily score 0.03 each from play if they click and that's only the forwards! I'm actually happy it's Armagh in the Final because we owe them a few after last year and this year's group games. Also I will never forgive them for the thuggery at half time in 2022. I have two words for Armagh **** them and roll on Sunday week"
Derry are behind you all the way, the number 7 for Armagh needs special attention and not football wise.

RTE commentary so effin patronising, Oh I was asleep at this stage yesterday. Saints on field especially keeper who lay down when down to 14.

Kilcoo V Kilmacud Crokes - 2 Like(s)

Replying To Tom1916:  "should the referee not be from a neutral province as the tyrone man clearly favoured kilcoo, ps niall brannigan never shut his mouth sledging the kilmacud player the whole match, disgraceful."
How did the ref gave a free to Conor Laverty with about 10 minutes to go. Going towards goal, gets to 20 metre line and lies down. That point got Kilcoo back into game. Ref favoured Kilcoo.

That Tyrone/Armagh Row - 2 Like(s)
Observed 4 things, Armagh men going down for no reason near the end when Tyrone had their tails up, Mc Shane taking forever to tap over frees, Tyrone playing into Armagh's usual tactic's of rowing and scuffling and Ref lost control.

Roscommon GAA thread - 2 Like(s)

Replying To dave1988:  "Anyone that was at the game yesterday saw that from the start of the second half Derry players came out and dragged the game into just a dirty game. Last night's coverage on rte was a joke and the panel obviously didn't see game because if they had they would have seen on our last attack Brian stack was making a run forward and McGuigan dragged him to the ground. Derry turned us over and went on attack and stack done the same to him. Also just before half time I believe it was McGuigan who struck Donie smith. You would have to be at the game yesterday to see what went on and Rory Gallagher saying Roscommon were very cynical was laughable."
Poor Roscommon, seem to remember another occasion in a U21 final when everyone else was to blame.

Replying To peiledoir20:  "Deflection seems to be the name of the game around here, going by your fellow county men anyway. Although in saying that, i can't ever recall a Donegal team or many others getting 4 red cards in one game. Tyrone teams manager that feat twice in less than 12 months. If it walks like a duck..."
Unlike yourself, the real Donegal supporters and GAA people know this a nation wide problem. Pick and choose the problems and run down the county you don't like or maybe are jealous of. I wouldn't run down any county without admitting the problems in my own.

Replying To DCFCGAA:  "would keep the flags, would love to see the anthem gone except for finals. playing it over some shit speaker system in a nothing match is hardly respect for it, make it special. we are like the yanks when it come to anthems and the GAA, played at every game ffs. imagine the brits played theirs before every soccer league game, we would be doing nothing but slating and slagging them. only sports i can think of that do it are the american ones and gaa, dont even remember it when down in oz at NFL games or in NZ at rugby games. It dilutes its meaning played flat out, sure lets bring it back to nightclubs"
Would you be a soccer lad with the DCFC name?

Replying To Seanfanbocht:  "Rumours Armagh wouldn't agree to the Hyde and Galway wouldn't agree to Breffni so something had to give. I recall being at games in Carrick with 14k there but I'm not sure what they're limited to nowadays."
Armagh and the word agree never have been used in the same sentence before so why start now.

Replying To Whestofthewest:  "Roscommon wouldn't beat the steelstown team never mind a Derry b team. A county who always think they are 20-30% better than they are and who achieve nothing. As a Derry man living in Galway when I see a fela in a rossie top come into the var I leave. The absolute muck they talk is unbearable. But don't forget they got an all star so basically rhey should have won the all oreland last year. Just read back on this fourm. Post after post of excuse after excuse"
Same story from Roscommon all the time, talk the talk but can't walk the walk. They try to act hard but cry when teams stand up to them.

Replying To germac:  "i think thats a bit of a smart alec comment fella , theres no such thing as in your words laughing boys of Ulster, Monaghan have always carried themselves well and won a few hard earned Ulsters along the way , yes Derry are on the crest of a wave right now and that is great to see , but look have a bit of respect and manners to all of those teams who train just as hard as yourselves , good man mind yourself"
I think it was harsh on Monaghan, Down are the laughing stock of Ulster football with their 3 defeats out of 3 in finals. All talk. The rest of Ulster should take it easy and give Down a chance in Ulster.
