Naas have turned to Cavan man Jimmy Higgins in their quest to regain the Kildare SFC title in 2026.

Higgins, who led Emmet Óg Killoe to Longford SFC glory this year and also guided his native Crosserlough to a Cavan SFC title in 2020, succeeds Philly McMahon in the hotseat. The eight-time Dublin All-Ireland winner stepped aside after only one season in charge which ended with a surprise county final loss to Athy.

Higgins - who is a nephew of the legendary Cavan footballer Mick Higgins - becomes Naas' fifth manager in as many years. Despite the high turnover, the blue and whites have won four Dermot Bourke Cups in the same period and also contested Leinster club SFC finals against Kilmacud Crokes in 2021 and '23.
