We returned to Croke Park for the second of this year's All-Ireland SHC semi-finals: Limerick V Galway.

The Treaty County retained their Munster crown with victories over Clare, Tipperary and Waterford, while Galway - having ousted holders Wexford - were pipped in the Leinster final by Kilkenny before seeing off Liam MacCarthy Cup holders Tipp at the All-Ireland quarter-final stage last weekend.

This was a repeat of the 2018 All-Ireland final and, with Waterford awaiting the winners in the final, the stage was set for an epic contest.
