Does anyone know why we are not takeing part as it has served us well in recent years....?" It's a poor standard of competition. We'd be better off playing other Ulster teams like Tyrone and Donegal than walking over the likes of Wicklow and Meath. Dublin have a number of panels at U16 so it's impossible to say whether it's anywhere close to being their best squad that they send out. I don't think it's very accurate to say that it's 'served us well'. The decision to get out of the competition was made before the Minors started this year. The decision was made at a time when we had been to one Ulster Final recently which involved facile victories over Monaghan and Antrim and we then lost convincingly to Derry and Kildare and been beaten well by Armagh last year.
