So there will be no free weekend after the 4 games before the Quarter Final stage like originally planned? Some clubs will have to play 3 Championship games, a League game followed by another Championship game, maybe a play-off and then a Quarter-Final or Relegation game, all without a break? Absolutely ridiculous if true. GAAhead2017 (Cavan) - Posts: 82 - 16/08/2017 13:17:56 2034187Link 0
I dont think Ramor have the stomach for it. They haven't shown much this year in league or championship. Its Gaels' championship to lose. Brian O Connell is a huge lose for Ramor. In my opinion he should be in the list of players who can push for a place on the senior squad. I agree Conor Bradley and David Brady should get a shot at it too! It would be great having Barry Reilly there but it doesn't seem likely. Luke Fortune has been outstanding any time ive seen him play. Maybe a year or two early to make an impact but I'd like to see him brought in to develop and get to grips with the setup. patman92 (Cavan) - Posts: 71 - 16/08/2017 16:47:52 2034323Link 0

Don't you think it costs enough all ready to keep the present set up going. One thing I would be in favor of would be long term injuries player's being kept on the panel I feel they should be returned to their club but with the support of the county to help them with their rehab. This way you have a panel of fit available players to work with. Just my thought on this however. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4602 - 16/08/2017 18:36:32 2034389Link 0 |

how will the playoff's work? 2 games with open draw and then the 'final' between the winners? wishfulthinkin (Cavan) - Posts: 1740 - 27/08/2017 14:05:00 2038592Link 0
I imagine it will be the two losers of both games playing off to see which team goes to relegation playoff! So each loser will get a second chance to qualify for the QF. DaffyDuck14 (Cavan) - Posts: 24 - 27/08/2017 14:35:50 2038613Link 0
you don't need a final. you need to eliminate 1 team. so maybe open draw and 2 losers play. if one game ends in a draw then maybe elimate the loser. answer is, I dont know. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5522 - 27/08/2017 18:31:05 2038795Link 0
So how do we distinguish between 6th 7th and 8th for the quarters? 4 teams ... 3 go through. In what order?? Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 27/08/2017 22:55:23 2038975Link 0
Whenever the playoff's are decided the score difference from the 4 rounds will determine the placings for the 3 teams involved. ballygowanwater (Cavan) - Posts: 207 - 27/08/2017 23:04:12 2038983Link 0

If score difference separates 1st and 2nd.. and it separates 3rd and 4th why can it not desperate 8th and 9th?? Top 8 on score difference should go through. End off . Playoffs more money more delays! Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 28/08/2017 09:37:36 2039105Link 0
Be unfair if team in 8th got an easier draw and got an opportunity to put up vig scores. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 28/08/2017 11:28:58 2039181Link 0
So Cootehill live to fight another day. Thought this would have been a hammering but turned out to be the most entertaining and tense game I have seen all year. Was very impressed with the way they played. SwadMan11 (Cavan) - Posts: 50 - 28/08/2017 12:45:53 2039252Link 0
