Tomsmith here

It would take a smart person to predict who will won the County Cavan Senior Championship this year.
With the best Club in Cavan ( Cavan Gaels in transition between older players and younger player and indeed wanabee Gaels .,That is players wanting to transfer into this great club it would be diffict to know who will be in the quater finals ..
Who do you think.
Will Ramour be there.
Will Cstlerahan be there
Will Gowna ( Na Naw)
and last but not least the Gaels Who do you think

League rematch of last years county final tonight in Virginia at 8pm, may give some indication of where last years top 2 teams are at. Should be interesting, gowna haven't beaten Ramor in past 6 attempts so maybe tonight's the night.

I fail to see why you would advise fellow contributors to Hoganstand not to respond toa senior poster like Tomsmith,
I can tell you that the great Mrs T when courting always admired my expertise and indeed on the that famous day when she looked into my eyes when she said I do so proudly in a slow meticulous voice .
She has seen your advice as has a lot of fellow H/S followers from the Imperial...( we sit at the top corner) are concerned you are out of order.
Tomsmith is and has been to the forefront of all things good in Cavan Gaa and I will now predict that Cavan will lift two cups in Croke Park in 2022.

I'd love to know the rationale for the fixtures committee having the round 2 draw last night. Half the games are not even played yet and now any team playing Saturday or Sunday has the distraction of knowing the second round draw. The county board could build a bit of excitement with the teams all eagerly awaiting their next round draw if they ran it at half time of the last game of the weekend.

Some good wins so far this weekend. The big showdown with Arva and Drumlane was very poor, Arva swept aside a Drumlane team that just downed tools in the second half.

Should start to heat up soon.

Controversy at the Drumgoon Shercock game, the ref yellow carded the Drumgoon midfielder in the first half, second half when the game was at a crucial stage the other Drumgoon midfielder fouled, then the ref then clearly flashed a yellow card followed by a red card. The linesman drew the attension of the ref when the game continued to explain the mistakin decision but the ref didn't allow the Drumgoon midfielder player back on. Interesting will the ref report reflect what happened on the field, and if the county board will have the game replayed.

The midfielder was booked twice and correctly shown the red card. The linesman called the refs attention because the Drumgoon bench kept at him. The ref showed the management team his card which showed who he had booked and also what min they were booked in. At the end of the game he showed it and offered them the option of photographing it but they said they accepted what they were shown

Simply staggering consistency from you once again there Pat.

All but the Castlerahan draw on the money. The bookmakers will no doubt be running scared next week and hopefully you will be treating yourself to something nice with the winnings like a new car or jeep.

Looking forward to next weeks tips and no doubt Tom84 will be licking his wounds today after his reckless comments last Thursday.
