Seems like Kingscourt are starting to follow the trend started by the Gaels and Castlerahan. Worrying trend for the GAA. First it will be players switching clubs, then it will be players switching to stonger counties. Im sure hell be very welcome in his local pub when he is a 50 year old man. Sure there are some clubs who get other players, by dint of being the biggest town in the area and all that etc. That'll always happen. Think you should note Raymond Cunningham was edcuated in Kells and was playing for Kilmainhamwood when he won a Ulster Medal with Cavan. Think he only played with Kingscourt for a couple of year (1999 and 200, due to being involved with Cavan) before going back to Kilmainhamwood. Think the reason he played for Cavan was he'd played handball (with the Kingscourt club) for them from an early age and meath showed no interest in him for senior football. Tomsmith here When youse are on about transfers I would appeal to all footballers to refrain from seeking transfers into the Cavan Gaels Club. Neither of them have a single connection to Meath.
