On the Meath forum its said that Jordan Morris is transferring to Kingscourt from Nobber.. A County footballer and at 21 will only get bette,r so would be a big addition for Kingscourt.

Seems like Kingscourt are starting to follow the trend started by the Gaels and Castlerahan. Worrying trend for the GAA.
First it will be players switching clubs, then it will be players switching to stonger counties.

Im sure hell be very welcome in his local pub when he is a 50 year old man. Shameful act and shouldnt be encouraged.

Uh, his father played for Kingscourt? That's hardly a shameful act. Sure there are some clubs who get other players, by dint of being the biggest town in the area and all that etc. That'll always happen. Hardly see this as a trend as his Dad played there, so what is shameful?

I don't think Cavan being in Division 4 would appeal, when Meath are in Division 2.
In a few years that could change, if he was settled with Kingscourt.
Raymond Cunningham played for Cavan and Kingscourt after switching.

Think you should note Raymond Cunningham was edcuated in Kells and was playing for Kilmainhamwood when he won a Ulster Medal with Cavan. Think he only played with Kingscourt for a couple of year (1999 and 200, due to being involved with Cavan) before going back to Kilmainhamwood. Think the reason he played for Cavan was he'd played handball (with the Kingscourt club) for them from an early age and meath showed no interest in him for senior football. One of three meath men on the Cavan team that day in 1997.

Off course I had to ask, I know they played for a Cavan club and played underage up to senior for Cavan and their children play for cuchulains also, did they live just across the border?

Ray Carolan? A meath man in a Ronan Carolan disguise?

Ray would have been 54 in '97. Some going to win an Ulster title. And unless they moved Cross into Meath!!!

That's him sorry i meant Ronan Carolan. With Raymond Cunnigham in the mix i got my names mixed up.

Anyways as i said three fine Meath men and then Oisin Kiernan helping you along to the last two Ulster titles.

If it's going to be like that ,we'll claim Joe Sheridan since his father is a Cavan man..Meaths last Leinster title thanks to the try scoring of big Joe.

Tragic to see how far Meath have fallen that some are reduced to this level of straw-clutching. Delighted to hear we've 2 recent Ulster titles though.

Tomsmith here

When youse are on about transfers I would appeal to all footballers to refrain from seeking transfers into the Cavan Gaels Club.
I know that a lot of you want to play with a big club but always remember that small Clubs are the bread and butter of the GAA

Is it done on an invite only basis then or what?

Ronan and Terry are proud Cavan and Cuchulainns men. Neither of them have a single connection to Meath. Slightly embarrassing for you that you would try to claim them :) Good luck anyway trying to beat the Dubs next year, you may very well get past them in the next decade or so
