With the competition starting in less than two weeks can we start focusing on players who are on the panel and the likely team to play Armagh? kildare blue (Cavan) - Posts: 578 - 14/01/2020 09:56:55 2259630Link 0 |

| I dont think Caomhin Reilly is on the panel. Think he has opted out. As has Jack Brady I believe or maybe not been asked in. Looking through the list, one thing that stands out is that it is a very small panel in terms of physical size. Based on that, we might have the footballers to compete with Clare, Fermangh, Laois, Westmeath & Clare, but could be beaten before we start against the bigger and better conditioned team like Roscommon, Kildare & Armagh. | Caoimhin Reilly isnt on panel as far as I know, he was working in a shop the day of the Armagh game. You are missing Gerry Smith who was injured by Mickey said he is on panel. benbulbenhead (Sligo) - Posts: 52 - 14/01/2020 11:17:10 2259665Link 0 |

| Nothing in that panel to stir the blood. God help us this year!!! Virginia (Cavan) - Posts: 101 - 14/01/2020 18:51:18 2259777Link 0 |
| On the face of it, I'd agree with you. But I think there's still enough there to push for promotion if we set up right and our better players play to their potential. McVitty and Mackey are by far the biggest loss. I think Moynagh and Clarke's departure will be lessened by a fit again Gerry Smith and Ciaran Brady coming in. Faulkner is still top notch, Mcloughlin still our best man market and Oisin Kiernan will move to the half back line I'd expect. We didn't have a settled partner for Gearoid last year and Buchanan might be the one to step up this year. Martin Reilly will link play as good as anyone, if he's used properly. It's up front where we need to improve and none of the lads there have shown they're at this level yet. Time for someone to step up. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5306 - 15/01/2020 13:45:56 2259983Link 0 |

| Heard it was a dire game with Meath set up very defensive in preparation for Tyrone away. 1-2 to 3 at half time to Cavan and according to my source a final result of 1-8 to 1-8(mostly frees). No idea of line out apart from my source. CR7 (Cavan) - Posts: 126 - 19/01/2020 22:01:43 2260950Link 0 |
