With Cavan's next competitive match 6 weeks away one would assume that matches like this would be invaluable to the squad in their preparation for the championship. It's a pity they wouldn't change the reserve games too. Sunday at 2pm is a terrible time. No wonder so many teams are conceding fixtures. I'd be expecting another comfortable victory for Cavan over Meath. They are poor. Normally I'd agree but at this time of year and with the next competitive game six weeks away I'd say that the management see some use in it otherwise they wouldn't agree to play it. The last thing they want is a defeat though. The Roscommon game really took the wind out of our sails.
