There was shock and sadness in the community when news arrived that Eamonn McCormack had passed away on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at his home in Canada. A native of Longford, he grew up on Main Street, Ballinagh. Eamonn was a keen golfer and also excelled at gaelic football, winning a Longford SFC and Leader Cup before emigrating.
