Packie was born in 1922 in Banaho and had been a lover of Gaelic games all of his life. Denn was a club very close to his heart and he used to travel all over the county to watch them, as well as all over the country to support that Cavan team. He was a noted story teller and his excellent memory would see him able to recite happenings from 70 years ago to the very last detail. He passed away in December of last year.
