The Cavan and Tyrone GAA communities were plunged into mourning on Saturday morning, June 3rd, 2017 following the tragic death in a road traffic accident near Tempo, Fermanagh of 26-year-old Cavan senior football team statistician Dominic Earley of 82 Mullaghmore Drive, Killyclogher, Omagh, Tyrone. A key member of Mattie McGleenan's backroom team since January, Dominic - who played club football with Tattyreagh - filled the role of GPS Performance Analyst and was very popular within the Breffni County camp. A Cavan GAA statement released on the day of his tragic passing read: "It is with great shock and deep sadness that we learned of the tragic death of Dominic Earley following a road traffic accident in Fermanagh earlier today. Dominic was a member and player with the Tattyreagh Club in County Tyrone. He joined our team management just a short few months ago but in that time he created a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of meeting him. Cavan GAA would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Dominic's family, his girlfriend Maria, relatives, friends and to the Tattyreagh GAA club and Tyrone County Board."
