Former Tipperary All-Star forward Michael Quinlivan will play his club football in Louth this year after transferring from Clonmel Commercials to Dundalk Gaels.

Recognised as one of Tipperary’s finest football talents of the last 50 years, Quinlivan won a Munster SFC medal in 2020 as well as an All-Star in 2016 following the Premier County’s surprise run to the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals under the late Liam Kearns.

At club level, he claimed eight Tipperary SFC medals and a Munster club SFC title with Commercials in 2015.

Although in the twilight of his career, Quinlivan’s capture is a huge boost for Dundalk Gaels who reached the last-four of last year’s Louth SFC where they lost to eventual winners Naomh Mairtin.
