Antrim's Paddy Cunningham

Antrim attacker Paddy Cunningham has announced his retirement from inter-county football.

The 36-year-old returned to the Saffrons’ fold last year after a six-year absence and lined-out for the past two seasons.

His county’s highest-ever scorer, Cunningham made his senior inter-county debut during the mid-2000s and captained the Glensmen to an Ulster SFC final in 2009.

This past June saw the Lámh Dearg clubman coming off the bench against Waterford as Antrim secured promotion from Division 4 of the Allianz Football League.

Antrim GAA has since paid tribute to its retiring star.
