A Meath club player has been hailed for his heroic actions in saving four members of the same family including a 10-year-old boy from drowning off the coast of west Kerry earlier today.
Enfield native Micheal Keogh, who lines out with the local Na Fianna GAA club, was swimming at Coumeenole beach near Slea Head when he spotted the child in difficulty. Micheal sprung into action, battling the strong currents to bring the boy to safety.
The 22-year-old also came to the aid of the boy's father and two other male relatives, believed to be his uncles, after they had attempted to save him.
What an amazing and selfless act by Mícheál, to risk his life in order to save 4 others is a true hero. Best wishes and we hope you get to enjoy the rest of your holiday . https://t.co/WVDYEJY5M8
