Holders Castlehaven and Nemo Rangers will contest the Cork SFC final following their respective semi-final wins over Carbery and Bishopstown at Pairc Ui Chaoimh yesterday.
A late Brian Hurley free saw 'Haven edge out neighbours Carbery by 1-14 to 2-10. The divisional side finished with just 13 players after Brian O'Driscoll was sent off on a second yellow card in the 41st minute, and Colm O'Driscoll followed him to the sideline in the closing stages.
Michael Cahalane and Rory Deane goaled for Carbery in the first half, but Castlehaven were level (0-10 to 2-4) at half-time. Hurley set up Shane Nolan for a Castlehaven goal six minutes after the restart, but it looked like a replay would be required after David Limrick levelled late on. However, Hurley - who top-scored with 0-7 - had the final say for the champions.
In the second semi-final, Nemo Rangers defeated city rivals Bishopstown by 1-12 to 1-8. In a poor quality affair, Nemo led by 0-5 to 0-3 at the break and they never looked in any danger after Alan Morgan netted to put them 1-8 to 0-4 clear at the end of the third quarter.
