Loughrey situation straightforward - Counihan

Antrim's James Loughrey
Conor Counihan says his decision to call up James Loughrey was a simple one to make.
The former Antrim wing back has been named on the Cork bench for Sunday's Division One meeting with Mayo at Pairc Ui Rinn and Rebel manager Counihan notes that it makes sense to run his eye over the player:
"It was a very straight situation really," Counihan told The Irish News. "James has taken up residence down here and he is working down here.
"He has been playing with Mallow for this past couple of weeks. He is doing fine. His partner is from Mallow. Once he was signing up, we became aware of it.
"We said 'look, let's bring him in and let's have a look at him' and that's exactly what we are doing.
"We have quite a lot of players injured at the minute but he has done quite well in the short time that he has been down here."
