Cork won't wear their controversial black and red training tops again this year.

Both the Rebels' hurlers and footballers wore the tops in recent Allianz League games against Waterford and Kildare respectively, but Cork GAA CEO Kevin O'Donovan informed delegates at last night's county board meeting that they would be reverting back to their traditional red and white jerseys for the remainder of the season.

In a memo to clubs after the meeting, O'Donovan said: "We understand that this particular jersey has caused upset to some of our members. This was perhaps the unique design as we had no such issues when releasing the respective black and blue commemorative jerseys in similar initiatives previously."
