Graham Canty has called time on his glittering football career.
The 2010 All-Ireland winning captain has played his last game for Bantry Blues, more than four years after he brought the curtain down on his Cork career. As well as leading the Rebels to their first All-Ireland in 20 years, the 37-year-old won All-Star awards in 2007, 2009 and 2010, three Allianz League Division 1 medals, five Munster SFC medals and also represented Ireland in the International Rules series.
The highpoint of his club career came in 1998 when he won a Cork SFC medal with his beloved Bantry.
"I'll miss it," Canty admitted in an interview with the Southern Star.
"I don't know of anything that will ever compare to playing football. But now feels it's the right time to step back from it all."
