Under 14 Boys Div 5 are 2017 Champions
Our U14 Boys Division 5 team are County Champions 2017. That means we've done the double again - Div 2 and Div 5 champions! It's a fantastic achievement for all the boys and their managers. You will recall that the Div 5 team drew with Castletara in the final. Castletara did not fulfil the replay fixture and the county board has awarded the title to Killygarry. It's a richly deserved title for such a hard-working and honest bunch of lads on this Div 5 team.
Under 15 Girls are Div 1 County Champions
Congratulations to our U15 Girls who won the Division 1 County Championship last Sunday by beating Castlerahan/Denn on a scoreline of 7-11 to 3-02. Well done everybody. It's a fantastic achievement for this squad who have been unbeaten over the past two years.
Rannafast Cup Winners 2017
Six of our players (David Talbot, Oisín Brady, Jack Mooney, Ben Mooney, Paul McCabe and Cian Reilly) were on the St. Pats panel which defeated St. Michaels, Enniskillen last Saturday in Clones to win the coveted Rannafast Cup. Congratulations to the team and all our lads.
U13 Boys Championship
After winning all their games in the first round of the U13 Boys Championship Blitz, the boys played in the second round last week where they had wins against Kingscourt and Arva and a draw against Lavey. Killygarry will now contest the Division 1 title in the final blitz against Gowna, Lavey and Ramor (top team is winner) which takes place this week.
Senior Men
The long-awaited ACFL league final against Crosserlough has been fixed for this Friday on the Breffni 3G. Best of luck to the lads and please get in there to support them in the last competitive club fixture of the season.
Congratulations to Martin and Jennifer
Last Saturday was a big day today for Martin Reilly and Jennifer Leonard when they tied the knot on a lifelong union. Everybody in the Club wishes them both a long, happy and healthy life together.
Sinéad McGovern Fundraiser
Sinéad must travel abroad for cancer treatment. She is daughter of Packie McGovern who is one of the founding members of our Club in 1966. He was on the first team and played for many years afterwards. He has been a stalwart supporter of the Club ever since even from as far away as Galway where he lives. Why not come along to this tea party in Killygarry Community Centre next Sunday (10:30-14:00) after mass and contribute towards Sinéad's treatment - every little helps. Thank you in anticipation of your support.
Imperial Christmas Duck National
The Club is embarking on a novelty fundraiser which will finish up with the running of the Imperial Christmas Duck National on St. Stephens Day. It will involve a race of up to 10,000 ducks (plastic!) from the river at Connolly Street car park to the bridge over the river at the Scout Den on Railway Road. There are viewing points all along the way from start to finish so it should be plenty of fun for everyone seeing how the ducks are doing in the race - bring a pair of binoculars, all the ducks have individual numbers! The total prize fund is €5,000 - 20 prizes of €250 each for the first 20 ducks over the line.
Tickets will be on sale for the next few weeks - 6 for €50 or 15 for €100. A duck ticket would be an ideal Christmas gift. Anyone who buys a ticket should come along, watch the ducks and enjoy the fun factor. You can also purchase tickets using the links on our website homepage and on the Duck National Event page on our Facebook page.
Camogie News
Killygarry juvenile camogie girls have made a great start - up to 25 teenagers have been turning out each Monday night in all kinds of weather and really enjoying the sessions. Grateful thanks to all who supported the Church Gate Collection last weekend. The girls received lovely comments about being all decked out in Killygarry Club jackets and hats. There will be no training for the next few weeks, but it will begin again in January. Anyone interested in being kept informed please send your number to (087) 6444927 and you can be added to the information group.
The camogie club is in the process of looking into purchasing various items including equipment/playing kit/bags/training tops, etc, etc. Any company/group who would be interested in providing some assistance please contact Antonia on (087) 6444927. All offers will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged. See you in the new year girls.

Hard luck to the U19s who were beaten by Lavey in the championship final last Sunday despite a spirited fightback in the second half.
Under-21 Championship
The competition is over for our Under-21s after defeat to a superior Laragh team last Sunday. Hard luck lads.
Killykickers
Killykickers take place 9.15 AM - 10.30 AM every Saturday in Cavan Sports Complex main hall for 4-6 year-old boys and girls. There are plenty of challenging fun activities - warm-ups, target games, ABC (Ability, Balance & Co-ordination). We recognise that this may be the kids' first experience of sport. These specially-developed games and programmes are conducted in a fun and safe environment. It's also an opportunity to make new friends and be part of a club. For any enquiries, contact Padraig on 0872804961.
Learning to Run
Peter Walsh and his team have organised running classes for kids every Monday and Wednesday on the walking track between 6.10 PM and 7.00 PM. The classes will promote proper running techniques, improve fitness, be non-competitive and (most important of all) they will be fun. Any enquiries to Peter on 0871038202.
