Cavan's Eugene Keating admits his confidence is back following his outstanding performance against Armagh.

Martin Dunne may have taken the Man of the Match award in Sunday's Ulster SFC win over Armagh at Breffni Park, but Keating ran him a close second.

By his own admission, Keating had a quiet league campaign, but announced his presence on this year's championship with a sterling performance against the Orchard County and the corner forward stressed to the Anglo-Celt that the performance had restored his confidence.

"I have my confidence back now, I was probably lacking a bit of confidence over the league campaign, but thankfully I've got it back now, I'm just happy with how I'm playing and delighted that we got the win, it will just spur me on more," said Keating.

"It's a lot better fun when you're winning than losing. We'll just put our heads down now and come back training, working hard and getting ready for Fermanagh."
