PwC All Star for the Club 

There was huge delight in the club and community as news broke that Pádraig Faulkner was named as full back on the 2020 PWC football All Star team. Congratulations to Pádraig, parents Pat and Jackie, sister Gráinne and partner Rachel. Well done to Raymond and Thomas Galligan from the Lacken club who both received all star awards giving Cavan an unbelievable total of 3 awards for 2020. 

Baby Star 

We do love good news these days! Congratulations to senior player Philly Tinnelly and wife Mairéad on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Pippa.

COVID Guidelines 

A return to training or games is not permitted under the current restrictions and there will not be any change to this position in the near future. It is the view of the GAA's Covid Advisory group that no on field activity will be permitted - training or games - until Easter at the earliest. This is very disappointing for all involved. All our pitches are out of bounds until further notice. Please respect the directions of the committee. Keep safe everyone. We will emerge from this stronger and better! 

County Board Draw 

Cavan county board is selling tickets to be in with a chance of winning a brand new 2021 Volkswagen Golf, sponsored by Brady’s Arva Ltd. Second prize in the draw is €2000 and third prize is two nights’ bed and breakfast and one evening meal for two in the Slieve Russell Hotel. The draw will take place in Kingspan Breffni on Monday, May 3rd 2021. Tickets are €20 each or three for €50, and are currently on sale online through Clubforce. It is hoped to have hard copy tickets when guidelines permit. Funds from the draw are for the support of all Cavan GAA teams. 

Registrations 2021 

The County Board has sent a reminder that all club members MUST be registered by March 31st 2021. If you have not paid your membership for 2021, now is the time to do so. Academy BOYS Membership (U7 – U11) €50; Adult Ladies €120; Adult non player €50; Adult player €120; Adult Student (or unemployed) €75; Family Membership Chairde Dún a Rí (2 playing/non playing adults and all children under 18. Includes 3 weekly lotto entries and entry into home games) €240. It is a big ask when a return date to play is unknown but the club must commit to registration deadlines. Everyone may pay online at www.clubforce.com. 

Lotto 

Draw held Tuesday February 16th 2021 for a jackpot of €6000. Numbers drawn 3;10;19;27. No jackpot winner and 5 match 3's get €30 each- Ann Grey, Philly Tinnelly, Cian and Rebecca Shekleton, Leigha McCabe, Katie Magee. Next weeks draw on Tuesday 23/2/2021 for a jackpot of €6100 and no winners then match 3s share €150. Thank you all for your support!
