COMMUNITY GAMES

Record Day for Cuchulainns Community games in County Finals on Sunday.  Congratulations to all our brave athletes who participated on the day. Congratulations to our 14 medals winners - 6 gold, 2 silver and 6 Bronze. The following athletes qualified to represent Cavan in the National Finals in UL Limerick in August;  Amelia Rogers (U8 80m), Sam Smyth  (U8 80m), Patrick Brady (U10 200m) , Èabha Carolan (U14 100m), Andrew Ormiston (U14 Long Jump) and Conor Smith (U16 1500m). Thank you to the large supporting crowd and helpers on the day.

Structural Developments;

Our new ball stop nets and refurbished children's training area on the 'astro area' in Cross will be completed over the next 10 days. 

 

CROSS CLEAN UP

We plan to do our annual clean around Cross Pitch on a Saturday week, 30th at 2pm. All help would be appreciated. 

 

NEW PITCH DEVELOPMENT

We are delighted to announce that our local contractors and their diggers will be moving into our newly acquired land this week. The initial plan is to remove all the scrub from the site to assess the exact nature of the job ahead.

FUNDAY 

Our annual funday will take place after underage training on Saturday morning. Everyone is welcome. Any older members (over 14) that are free please come down to pitch to help out. 

 

CONGRATULATIONS 

Well done to the Cavan U14 girls and especially our own Aisling Doughty who were crowned All Ireland champions on Saturday. 

 

GUMSHIELD

All children MUST wear a gumshield for training and matches. They will not be permitted to train or play if they have not got one. 

 

CHILD SAFETY

We wish to bring to your attention the following.

In accordance with Children First Act   2015  and folowing club policy all coaches /managers must have successfully completed Garda Vetting and attended relevant Child Protection training.

 

The club  take the issue of child safety very seriously and therefore respectfully request that individuals (other than designated coaches and managers) refrain from entering dugouts or the pitch during coaching sessions/matches.

Membership is now overdue. Please be aware that your child is not insured if he/she does not have membership paid. Listed below are ways to pay. 

2. Clg Cuchulainn Membership Registration for 2018 is now due. We are delighted to announce that there are a number of ways that you can complete your membership.

 

(a) For the first time you can complete and pay for your membership online via our website www.clgcuchulainn.com. 

(b) A hard copy of the registration form can also be downloaded off our website www.clgcuchulainn.com. Please return completed forms to a club committee member or to Monaghans Shop. 

(c) Forms are also available for collection from Monaghans Shop.

 

Please note that you must submit a signed copy of the Code of Behaviour Agreement relevant to you. 

 

Closing Date for registration; April 1st.

 

Only players, including children attending the nursery, who registered will be permitted to play or train from April 1st.

Cairde Cúchulainn; €350  All funds generated from this new level of family membership will be ring fenced for the maintenance and development of our present facilities and our proposed facilities on our newly acquired ground adjoining our pitch in Mullagh.
