Camogie: Westmeath see off Cavan in Division 4 final
April 25, 2011

Westmeath's Denise McGrath has Cavan's Mairead McCabe for company during the Camogie League Division 4 final at Ashbourne.
Westmeath 4-6
Cavan 2-8
Westmeath made sure that they didn't lose three league finals in a row with a hard earned four point victory over Cavan in the Camogie League Division 4 final at Ashbourne.
First half goals from Joanne Walsh and Pamela Greville gave the midlanders a one point cushion at the break 2-2 to 1-4. A goal and a point from Marie Brady, a brace of points from the very impressive Roisin O'Keeffe and a point from Tina O'Reilly kept the Ulster girls in touch at the interval.
Pamela Greville got the opening score of the second half but when Marie Brady got in for her second goal to tie the game at 2-4 each after fifteen minutes the game was very well balanced. Westmeath half foward Joanne Walsh had other ideas and with two goals to add to her first half major the game swung firmly in the direction of the girls in the maroon jerseys.
Emma Martin, Dinagh Loughlin, Joanne Walsh and player of the match Pamela Greville were outstanding for the winners while Cavan had good performances from Niamh Brady, Rosie Crowe, Brid Boylan Roisin O'keeffe and Marie Brady
After the game Camogie Chairperson Joan O'Flynn presented the cup to Westmeath captain Aisling Conaty.
Westmeath scorers Joanne Brady 3-0, Pamela Greville 1-4, Dinagh Loughlin and Denise McGrath 0-1 each
Cavan scorers Marie Brady 2-2, Roisin O'Keeffe 0-2, Jenny O'Rourke Tina O'Reilly, Grainne Smith and Brenda Lynch 0-1 each
