Cork camogie star Ashling Thompson has had her two-match ban overturned on appeal.
Thompson was red-carded after her side’s 1-17 to 1-16 defeat to Tipperary and the decision was upheld by the Camogie Association’s Transfer Hearing and Disciplinary Committee last week.
However, reports today are that the midfielder has won her appeal against the suspension which frees her up to play in this afternoon’s All-Ireland senior championship semi-final against Waterford at Croke Park (throw-in 3.15pm).
A win for the Leesiders today will see them facing either Kilkenny or Galway in the All-Ireland final on August 7th.

@AshlingThompson correctly being cleared of completely OTT two-match ban should raise questions about the officiating that led to her red card in the @CorkCamogie v @camogietipp match.
