PJ O'Mullan Jnr has reportedly stepped down as Antrim hurling manager after less than five months in the job.
The 2012 All-Ireland club winning manager with Loughgiel succeeded Kevin Ryan in the role last November, but was left bitterly disappointed after his new charges failed to mount a challenge for the Allianz League Division 2 title, with their last three games ending in defeat. O'Mullan's reported departure leaves the Saffrons in crisis ahead of the start of their Christy Ring Cup campaign next month.
Former Waterford and Limerick manager Justin McCarthy has been acting as an adviser to O'Mullan.
