A number of next weekend's county finals have been switched to avoid direct clashes with Ireland's Rugby World Cup quarter-final.

Ireland and Argentina will meet at the Millennium Stadium in Wales at 1pm on Sunday, which is also a huge day for the GAA, with 14 county finals going down for decision around the country.

That number was 15 but as we reported on Sunday, the Meath County Board deferred the hoganstand.com football final clash of Navan O'Mahonys and Na Fianna - which was due to start at the same time as the rugby - by eight days to avoid any possible loss of revenue.

Cork chiefs were also concerned about a possible hit to the coffers and have moved the meeting of Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven back by one hour from 4pm to 5pm.

The Donegal SFC final between Naomh Conaill and St Eunan's has been switched from 3pm to 4pm; the Roscommon SFC decider between Padraig Pearses and Clan na nGael starts at 4:30.

Meanwhile, the Offaly SHC final between Coolderry and St Rynagh's has been given a 4pm start in O'Connor Park, while the Laois senior football final between Emo and Portlaoise will start at 5.15pm.

And the Limerick SFC decider between Dromcollogher-Broadford and Newcastle West, which was due to throw-in at 3pm, will now go ahead in Kilmallock at 4.
