McCormack: Dubs have unfair advantage

Longford sharpshooter Sean McCormack has claimed Dublin have an unfair advantage over other counties because they play nearly all of their league and championship games in Croke Park.
When Jim Gavin's men open their Leinster SFC defence against Westmeath on Saturday week, it will be their eighth competitive outing at GAA headquarters this year, and McCormack contends that they wouldn't be as successful if they had to play at provincial venues every so often.
"It's a big subject for debate," the Killoe Young Emmets man said in the Irish Daily Star ahead of Longford's Leinster SFC opener against Wicklow on Sunday.
"Over the years, if Dublin had to play one or two rounds outside of Croke Park, it could have been a different story and you might have had a variation of provincial winners in Leinster.
"Obviously, they have a lot of experience there, they play most of their league games there and it stands to them come championship. You are always the underdog, especially in Leinster where Kildare and the Dubs are considered the dominant teams."
