Éire Óg Ennis completed a historic Clare senior football championship three-in-a-row after defeating Kilmurry-Ibrickane 2-15 to 1-10 at Páirc Chíosóg.

Mark McInerney’s early goal helped the Townies seize control, with further scores from Ronan Lanigan, Ciaran Russell, Ikem Ugwueru and Darren O’Brien giving them a commanding 1-10 to 1-2 lead at the half.

Kilmurry-Ibrickane looked to fight back after the change of ends with Conor Burke finding the net for them before Cathal Talty landed two impressive two-pointers.

However, O’Brien and McInerney kept the holders comfortably ahead, frustrating their opponets' attempts to close the gap.

Dermot Coughlan added a late two-pointer for Kilmurry, but Éire Óg had the final say when teenager Darren Moroney finished off a flowing team move with a second goal.

The victory delivers Éire Óg’s fifth Jack Daly Cup in six seasons and a remarkable third consecutive title.
