Fr Casey's defeat Monaleen by a dozen to book Limerick SFC final return
Adrian Enright netted the third goal for Fr Casey's

Fr Casey’s cruised into their second Limerick senior football championship final in three years with a comfortable 3-12 to 1-6 win over Monaleen at Sean Finn Park on Saturday.

The Abbeyfeale men were 0-3 to 0-2 in front when Elijah Riordan fired in their first goal in the 13th minute, but Monaleen battled back and Mark Torpey’s goal brought them back to within a point by the break (1-5 to 1-4).

Casey’s found the net again after seven minutes of the resumption via Rory O’Brien and kept their foot on the throttle as they goaled again in the 46th minute.

Adrian Enright supplied the finish for the green flag as the eight-time champions went on to win by a dozen and set-up a final date against Kildimo-Pallaskenry.

Under the management of Declan Nash, KP booked a place in their club’s maiden SFC decider thanks to a 2-16 to 0-20 extra time victory over Mungret earlier today.
