Dunloy and Cushendall will face off in the Antrim SHC final after coming through their semi-finals at the weekend.
The Cuchullains were facile 5-21 to 0-6 winners over Glenariffe on Saturday, while Cushendall had to work much harder for their 2-16 to 0-20 victory over last year’s runners-up Loughgiel yesterday.
Early goals from Keelan Molloy and Ciaran Elliott laid the foundations for Dunloy’s big win over an outclassed Glenariffe side who troubled the scoreboard operator just once in the opening half. Further majors from Nigel Elliott (two) and substitute Chrissy McMahon in the second period completed the rout.
Meanwhile, goals in each half from Joseph McLaughlin and Fiontan Bradley were crucial to Cushendall’s win in the other semi-final.
