Cuala dethroned Ballyboden St Endas’ this afternoon to advance to the Dublin senior football championship final.

It finished 0-21 to 0-17 at Parnell Park, where the 2024 champions led by two at the halfway stage and then produced a strong finish in the closing quarter to get over the line.

The sides had been level at 0-17 before the Dalkey men came up with the goods late on, which included scores by county men Charlie McMorrow and Con O’Callaghan to deliver the knockout blow to ‘Boden and set-up a final date against Castleknock who defeated Thomas Davis yesterday.

Errigal Ciaran ended Loughmacrory’s reign as Tyrone senior football champions by handing them a 0-19 to 1-13 defeat in Omagh.

Points from Shea McDermott (free), Tiarnán Colhoun, Darragh Canavan and Padraig Mc Girr saw Enda McGinley’s side hold a 0-10 to 0-6 lead at half-time and they’d increase their advantage to nine after the change of ends.

Oisin O’Kane’s two-pointer and a Pearse McDonald gave Loughmacrory, who claimed their maiden SFC crown in the O’Neill County last year, hope in the closing minutes before the points of Canavan and McDermott (free) sealed Errigal’s fourth county final berth in five years where they’ll face an Edendork side lining out in their first senior decider.

In the Meath senior football championship, Wolfe Tones sent holders Summerhill crashing out with 1-17 to 0-14 victory in Dunganny.

Kyle Moran’s goal helped Tones to hold a 1-10 to 0-8 lead at the halfway stage and scores by Caolan Ward, Moran and Oisin Martin would seal the win which advances Shane McCoy’s men to a county final date with Donaghmore Ashbourne.

Meanwhile, St Martin’s and Kilanerin will contest the Wexford senior football championship final after emerging victorious from this afternoon’s semi-finals at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

St Martin’s dethroned 14-time champions Castletown Liam Mellows with a 4-12 to 1-16 victory, while Kilanerin edged out Shelmaliers by 2-12 to 0-17.
