Kanturk dethrone Sars to reach first Cork SHC semi-final

Kanturk are through to the Cork Premier SHC semi-finals for the first time in their history after shocking holders Sarsfields.

County panellist Brian O'Sullivan fired 0-10, while Colin Walsh, Liam O’Keeffe, Lorcan O’Neill and county forward Alan Walsh supplied crucial goals to help the Duhallow outfit to a 4-19 to 1-25 victory.

Kanturk will now face St Finbarr's, from whom William Buckley struck 0-7 in an 11-point victory over Imokilly.

Glen Rovers were 2-21 to 1-20 winners over Charleville in their quarter-final, with former county star Patrick Horgan contributing 1-11. Their semi-final opponents will be Midleton, who qualified directly for the last-four as group toppers.
