Jack O’Connor’s superb 41st minute goal brought Meath back on level terms with Cork in this afternoon’s Allianz FL Division 2 final at Croke Park.
After the Rebels took in a 0-12 to 0-10 advantage at the break, O’Connor sent over a two-pointer a minute into the restart for the Royals before Chris Og Jones found their net in the very next attack.
Colm O’Callaghan stretched the Munster side’s lead to four ahead of a Sean Brennan’s ‘45’ sailing between the posts and this rocket to the roof of the net from O’Connor (watch below) would make it 1-13 apiece with half an hour to go at headquarters.
