An Ghaeltacht (Kerry) are All-Ireland club intermediate football champions after a 0-12 to 0-6 win against Glenullin (Derry) at Croke Park this afternoon.

Feargal Ó Sé’s men proved too strong for their Derry counterparts in the capital, running up a 0-9 to 0-1 lead on them by the end of the first-half before going on to win by six in the end.

Ruaidhri O'Beaglaoich, Sean O'Cuinn, Conor O'Corrduibh and semi-final hero Eanna O'Conchuir were among the scorers for the Munster champions in the first-half and they’d extend their advantage to nine through Seán Ó Gairbhí midway through the second period.

Fearghal Close and Neil McNicholl (free) got points back for Glenullin before a Cathal Ó Beaglaoich two-pointer at the other end saw An Ghaeltacht with one hand on the trophy.

Late scores from Conor Rafferty (2) and McNicholl (free) would only be consolation for the Ulster champions in end, as Ó Sé’s triumphed to the sweet success at headquarters.

It marks the eighth time a side from Kerry has won the All-Ireland club IFC title since the competition’s inception in 2003/04.

The result also means that the clean sweep of All-Ireland club football titles is still very much on for the Kingdom, with Ballymacelligott having defeated Tyrone's Clogher Eire Og in the junior final earlier today and Dingle set to play St Brigid’s of Roscommon in the senior decider next Sunday at Croker (3.40pm).
