The Donegal senior football championship is down to its last four teams following the weekend’s quarter-final results.
The semi-finals will see Gweedore taking on St Michael's and Four Masters up against Naomh Conaill.
Gweedore were 0-16 to 1-10 winners over Kilcar last night (Saturday) while St Michaels impressed in a 0-26 to 0-15 victory against Sean MacCumhaills.
The earlier of this afternoon’s SFC clashes in the Tir Chonaill County saw Four Masters recording a 0-20 to 0-10 win against last year’s beaten finalists Dungloe.
The Donegal Town side edged a 0-6 to 0-5 lead at half-time before putting together a superb fourth quarter in Ballyshannon which saw the scores of Seanan Carr and Turlough Carr helping them to a double-digit victory.
Naomh Conaill were made to battle to the end in earning a 2-12 to 2-11 win over Termon in Letterkenny this afternoon.
Termon, who ousted holders St Eunan’s last time out, ran up a 1-7 with 0-10 lead with Jack Alcorn providing the goal prior to the Glenties hitting back with a Charles McGuinnes goal which trimmed their deficit down to five by the interval.
Patrick Fegan hit the net for Termon early in the second-half ahead of the 2023 winners battling back with scores from Anthony Thompson, Shea Malone (3) and a Max Campbell goal to even it up.
Extra time looked to be on the way at O’Donnell Park until young Donegal star Finbarr Roarty struck over the winning point at the death for Glenties.
