Ballinamere will face champions Shinrone and Kilcormac/Killoughey will take on St Rynagh’s in the Offaly SHC semi-finals, the draw for which took place last evening.
Ballinamere and Kilcormac/Killoughey qualified directly for the semi-finals as group winners, while Shinrone and St Rynagh’s overcame Birr (after extra-time) and Coolderry respectively in last weekend’s quarter-finals. The draw has raised the prospect of Shinrone and Kilcormac/Killoughey facing off in the final for the second year in-a-row, but an up-and-coming Ballinamere and St Rynagh’s – who won a hat-trick of Sean Robbins Cups in 2019, ’20 and ’21 – will have something to say about that.
Ballinamere have already beaten Shinrone in the group stages, while a fancied K/K also got the better of St Rynagh’s earlier in the Championship.
