Last night’s Offaly SFC semi-final draw threw up the same pairings as last year with holders Rhode pitted against Ferbane and Tullamore against Edenderry.

While Rhode and Tullamore had qualified directly for the last four after topping their respective groups, Ferbane and Edenderry had to overcome Bracknagh and Durrow in quarter-finals on Sunday. Rhode needed penalties to get the better of Ferbane in last year’s semi-final, while Tullamore had seven points to spare over Edenderry, who are viewed as the outsiders in the Dowling Cup race.

The draws for the SFC ‘B’, IFC and JFC semi-finals also took place live on Facebook, with all games due to be played on the weekend after next.
