Clare manager Brian Lohan has named his side for Sunday’s Munster senior hurling championship final against Limerick at the TUS Gaelic Grounds (1.45pm).
After being withdrawn during the first-half of the Banner men’s victory over Cork three weeks ago with what looked like a serious shoulder injury, Conor Cleary has been named to start at full-back by Lohan.
It means that the Banner boss has chosen to stick with the same starting 15 which edged the Rebels thanks to Diarmuid Ryan’s late point in Ennis, with David Fitzgerald and Cathal Malone continuing at centre-field and Eibhear Quilligan between the posts.
In attack, talisman Tony Kelly is once again stationed on ‘the 40’ while Shane O’Donnell is at full-forward where he’s flanked by Ryan Taylor and Mark Rodgers.
Sunday will see Clare gunning for their first Munster SHC title since 1998 and look to deny neighbours Limerick a fifth in-a-row on their own home turf in the process.
The Clare Senior Hurling Team to take on Limerick in the 2023 Munster Senior Hurling Final has been named . Throw in on Sunday at the TUS Gaelic Grounds is at 1:45pm. Wishing the Banner all the very best ..
