Armagh are expected to appeal the red card Rian O'Neill received during last Saturday's All-Ireland SFC defeat to Tyrone.

The Orchard County captain was dismissed on a straight red card by referee Martin McNally following a first half altercation with opponent Cormac Quinn. The red card means O'Neill is automatically suspended for Armagh's final group game against Galway on the weekend after next, but a successful appeal would change that.

With all third round games taking place at neutral venues, there is speculation that the Armagh v Galway game will be played at Kingspan Breffni.
