Westmeath pair to collect nine medals at once

Westmeath hurlers Tommy Doyle and Derek McNicholas will be presented with a whopping nine medals each at the Lake County's upcoming GAA banquet.
Several sets of medals dating back to 2008 when the Westmeath footballers won a National League Division 2 title will be presented at the long overdue presentation ceremony in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Friday week, December 2. Among the medals the long-serving Lough Lene Gaels pair will receive are Joe McDonagh Cup, National League Division 2A and Kehoe Cup. They will also collect Joe McDonagh Cup and National League Division 2A runners-up mementos.
Dual players Brendan Murtagh and Cormac Boyle will receive medals won in both codes on the night. Medals will also be presented to members of this year’s Tailteann Cup winning football team.
