McKeegan takes Armagh hurling reins

Cushendall's Karl McKeegan celebrates a goal

Karl McKeegan has been named as the new Armagh senior hurling manager.

McKeegan takes over from another Cushendall and Antrim stalwart, Terence 'Sambo' McNaughton, who took temporary charge earlier this year following Padraig O'Connor's departure in mid-season.

A stylish half back, McKeegan hurled for Antrim for over a decade, during which he won 10 Ulster SHC medals. He also captained the Saffrons to their maiden Christy Ring Cup success in 2006.
