The McCann brothers, Mick and Tomas, combined to lead Erin's Own, Cargin to their fourth Antrim senior football championship crown in five years and eleventh in all.

The Toome-based outfit showed their guile and experience in extra-time, overcoming St Mary’s, Aghagallon by 1-18 to 3-9 in a thrilling final, played in difficult conditions at Corrigan Park this afternoon. Aghagallon, who were bidding to make amends for their eight-point defeat to Creggan Kickhams in last year's decider, looked on course for their first senior title when Ruairí McCann's second goal pushed them eight points ahead in the second-half.

Slowly, however, with the McCann brothers, and Pat Shivers showing the way, Cargin got themselves back into the game to send it to extra-time at 1-13 to 3-7. It was Aghagallon's Oisin Lenehan that forced the extra 20 minutes after Mick McCann's goal levelled matters and a point from captain James Laverty snuck Cargin in front.
